Payment and Delivery

Payment should be at time of order. The order will not be processed until the payment has been made. We will dispatch your order within 5 working days of receipt. If we have any reason why we are not able to do this, we will contact you by email. If you want your order more urgently, please contact us for a cost. Our deliveries are sent by the safest and best value option.  Very often this is by courier to help with the fragile nature of the preserves.

For any European/International/Worldwide deliveries please message to confirm shipping costs, prior to placing an order so that we can give you the best shipping value. 

Returns & Gift Cards

Black Mountains Preserves operates a 14 day returns policy (including bank holidays and weekends).

We're sure you'll love your purchase, but if you're not happy for any reason, simply return the item(s) within 14 days of ordering, with an explanation note and we'll exchange or refund it. Returns must be received in their original condition. Please note we are unable to refund any postage or carriage charges for returns. Once we have received your returned item(s) we will issue a refund to the payment method used to pay for the order. Please allow 14 days for the refund to show in your account.

Gift Cards are to be exchanged for goods and non-refundable

Lost or Damaged parcels

If you have any lost or missing products from your original order, then please contact us on +44 7740 026391 or email Bmpreserves@gmail.com.Lost parcels must be reported within 14 days of the dispatch date. We will not be liable for any loss should you fail to do this.

Your order will be packed to withstand the journey. Breakages are rare, but if you do have one, please contact us within two days of delivery. We do take great care to ensure your items reach you in good condition. However, if you are unfortunate to receive a damaged item please send an image of the damaged product along with your Order Number and an explanation of the problem.  Unfortunately current Shipping methods available to us mean that our goods cannot be insured against damage or loss due to the preserves being packaged in glass. Therefore, please note we are unable to refund any postage or shipping costs. However, we are keen to learn of any damages and will always see what we can do as a gesture of goodwill.

If the products are faulty through no fault of your own, please send it back to us as soon as you can, with all original packaging and a note to tell us what is wrong with the product and the products will be inspected. If the fault is agreed, we will happily replace or refund the affected item/s. Unfortunately Couriers and current Shipping methods cannot be insured against due to the preserves being packaged in glass. Therefore, please note we are unable to refund any preserve or postage or shipping costs.

We cannot refund or replace your product if an explanation, the packaging or product is missing. If you return something outside of the returns period, we reserve the right to issue a credit note or resend the goods ordered back to the original delivery address.

It is your responsibility to make sure you send the return using a recorded & trackable service, as we cannot refund any lost, missing or damaged parcels. It will then be your responsibility to claim.

This all sounds very formal and that is not what we are about but it is just to make sure that we can help you in the best way possible within a reasonable and agreed timeframe.

Each Black Mountains Preserves handmade jar weighs between 520g – 590g and with the added protective packaging averages at approx. 750g per jar.

Please be assured that our shipping costs offer you the best value possible and we only use fully sustainable and recyclable packaging.

All Black Mountains Preserves gift sets include a gift-wrapped box with free personalised message (maximum 99 characters) 

To add a gift box and/or personalised message for any individual selected jar/s cost will be £2.50 - please add as an option into your basket.
