Breakfast or lunchtime toastie

Fancy Bacon & Eggs but without the effort of getting the frying pan out? Then why not try our Bacon and Eggs hot easy snack alternative. Ideal for breakfast, lunch or a suppertime treat. Served with Black Mountains Preserves Welsh Ale Chutney.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Air fryer cooking time: 20 mins on 200 to ensure that the egg and bacon is cooked

Serves 1 or repeat for more!

Ingredients

  • 2 x slices of your favourite loaf - buttered

  • 4 x slices of streaky bacon

  • 1 x egg

  • 2 x slices of cheddar cheese, switch with other varieties if preferred

  • Salt & Pepper to season

  • 3 x Tablespoons of Black Mountains Preserves Welsh Ale Chutney

Method

  • Butter both slices of bread

  • Place 1 x slice of bread butter side down into the Air Fryer

  • Top with your slice/s of cheese

  • Spread 2 x tablespoons of Black Mountains Welsh Ale Chutney on top of the cheese

  • Top with the 2nd slice of bread, butter side down

  • Press into the centre of the sandwich to make an indentation. We used a clean pyrex jug.

  • Crack an egg and pour into the central well in the sandwich

  • Trim your bacon to fit and place around the sides of the sandwich

  • Set your Air Fryer to Air Fry temperature 200 and time 20 mins

  • Depending on the size of your egg, check consistency of the egg / bacon and add a little extra cooking time if needed

  • Remove from the Air Fryer with tongs, cut in half and serve with an extra tablespoon of Black Mountains Preserves Welsh Ale Chutney
